Angel Of The Dark by Tilly Bagshawe

A serial killer on the loose? A string of similar murders starting from the US moving to the UK, France, India. What does all this have to do with an exotic resort in Bali and a beautiful Moroccan princess? A team from Interpol investigates, but things get a little complicated when one of the members get romantically involved …

I’m going to avoid a spoiler here, but the plot doesn’t seem that original. The author seems to be deliberately trying to mislead the reader at every turn in order to make the plot less obvious. The secrets are mostly all out when I’m through with 3/4 of the book and the final twist, after one of the accused was found not guilty, is so boringly cliched and full of loopholes.

Nevertheless, this is a good, interesting read if you can give your brain cells a break before you start turning the pages. The late Sidney Sheldon’s name has been “sold”. This book was written by Tilly Bagshawe and it won’t sit well with many of Sheldon’s fans that his name can be used so indiscriminately – even when the deceased author had no part to play in the writing of this book. Adds new meaning to the term ghostwriter.
