The Examiners Must Be Crazy

有冇搞错呀?

Question From PSLE Science Paper

I cannot understand why they think it’s appropriate to ask such questions for PSLE. Sure, the child does not need to know anything about dominant and recessive genes (which I certainly hope they don’t teach in P6 as I learned that in Sec4) to answer this question, but wouldn’t the apparent anomaly seen here puzzle an inquisitive child? Wouldn’t this sort of questions promote rote learning and nothing else?

If you want to go into details, you should go into depth as well and since the child is not ready for that kind of depth, why bother to go into such detail? This is crazy!
