Thai Tourism In Trouble?

by admin August 28, 2013 No Comments

That’s what went through my mind when I saw this video. As Myanmar opens up, operators there are going to give their counterparts in Thailand a run for their money and sadly, the only thing that can save Thailand could be the violent clashes between Buddhists and Muslims in Myanmar.

Many well-known spots in Myanmar are still relatively unspoilt. Many interesting places are yet to be developed oe even discovered. I’m sure there are many positive changes that would make me look back at the taxing trip I had in 2002 in amazement. For certain, I will visit again. I’ve actually thought of running a tour business at Inle Lake. Or maybe I could even set up a bookshop in Yangon. Something to dream about on a Wednesday night, quiet after a heavy downpour.
