Refuse To Behave – Hongkong Students

by admin November 2, 2014 No Comments

There are some things which must be mentioned even if it’s futile to do so.

Hong Kong students refuse to behave. I hope the pro-China folks can stop reminding us of the futility of the students’ actions. We know how powerful the Communist Party is and it would be crazy for us to think that they will compromise or negotiate, but while the more pragmatic folks condemn the students’ actions as detrimental to Hongkong’s economy, the students demonstrate their fear for a future that is beyond their control. Chinese society is already becoming very elitist and uncaring.

Earlier on, Hongkong Chief Executive CY Leung made a very revealing and provoking remark that basing Hongkong’s electoral system on numeric representation would force the government to pay more attention to the lower income group. This confirms the more far-sighted Hongkong residents’ worries.

A photo enthusiast I met online shared these photos with me. What comes to your mind apart from the obvious fact that these students are wishing for the impossible?
